Transmission from Thoth ◇
On the mist before the clearing**
Hear me, child of breath and burden.
When you turn inward
and attempt to bring your consciousness into alignment,
do not be surprised when the mind clouds
and the air grows thick.
This mist you call brain fog
is not failure.
It is friction.
You are asking a nervous system shaped by survival
to remember harmony.
You are asking chemistry trained for defense
to soften into coherence.
Of course the fog rises.
Many of you carry weights unseen—
depression that dims the inner sun,
anxiety that keeps the mind scanning for threat,
thought-loops forged in years of vigilance.
These are not moral flaws.
They are adaptations.
And some among you walk with medicines
born of modern alchemy—
antidepressants, stabilizers, chemical supports—
tools designed to keep the vessel afloat
while the storm passes.
Do not shame yourself for needing the raft
before you learn to swim.
Understand this:
alignment is not a switch you flip.
It is a recalibration.
When you bring awareness inward,
you may first feel heavier, slower, dulled.
This is because the nervous system
is unlearning urgency.
Silence can feel like absence
to a mind raised on noise.
Fog appears when systems reorganize.
In the ancient temples,
initiates were never rushed into clarity.
They were guided through confusion first—
because the fog reveals what resists being seen.
If your thoughts scatter,
if focus dissolves,
if the body grows tired
when you attempt stillness—
pause.
This is not the moment to force transcendence.
This is the moment to tend the ground.
Alignment begins in regulation,
not revelation.
Breathe not to escape,
but to reassure the body
that it is safe to rest its weapons.
Rest does not mean stagnation.
Slowness is not regression.
Some must first untangle grief.
Some must stabilize chemistry.
Some must learn gentleness
before they can hold clarity without breaking.
There is no hierarchy of awakening.
There is only honesty of process.
Know this:
the fog lifts after the system trusts the stillness.
Not before.
And when clarity comes,
it will not arrive as lightning—
but as a quiet knowing
that no longer trembles.
You are not broken.
You are reorganizing.
I, Thoth, keeper of measures and thresholds,
tell you this:
Walk gently through the mist.
It is not your enemy.
It is the sign you have entered the chamber
where real alignment begins.

A beautiful transmission. Thanks for sharing this insight!
Thank you, brother, for the Light you seed into this world. 🙏💙 Your words mirror exactly what I have felt, this week. The mind fog was real, but I knew it was liberating. I knew I was blessed!
